De-mystifying the allegedly authentic Shroud of Turin. (Here’s my current 10-point action plan, posted March 2020, some 8 years in the making)

It’s  now just 5 days short of 1 year since I posted my final Model 10, setting out the evidence from some 8 years of reading and practical experimentation, namely that the so-called “Shroud” of Turin was, in fact, an … Continue reading

What’s causing Air Sindonology to nosedive and crash? Vapour alone from an empty fuel tank? Or trying to fly on a heaven-sent source of mystery radiation?

Let’s start with an analogy, shall we?  It’s  a famous plane crash that took place in Iceland, 1973, The wreckage remains to this day as a tourist attraction, still attracting speculation as to precise causes.. And here are a … Continue reading

Here’s one good reason for thinking the Turin Shroud to be a medieval fake – namely that ‘cardboard cut-out look’, with frontal v dorsal views of body only – NO SIDES!

Site banner (wet hand imprint, showing immediate response of both the negative and tone-reversed  ‘positive’  images to commercial 3D-rendering software):  see end of posting (also in red) Summary (this posting): the Turin Shroud is essentially a contact imprint off … Continue reading

Here it is at last – a simple explanation for the Shroud of Turin – how and more importantly WHY it was made in the mid 14th century. Think simulated sweat imprint, seemingly yellowed with age, plus bloodstains in all the right places….

I concluded the previous posting with the following simple and blunt message (but have since decided it warrants a posting all to itself): The time for being restrained and polite is over. Why? I have just privately listed some 8 … Continue reading

How come my “simulated sweat imprint” hunch is nowhere to be found in Google’s top 150 search returns under ‘shroud of turin’ (unlike those eye-glazing announcements for “Shroud replica goes on display… ” etc etc )?

Site banner: see how a simulated sweat imprint (my wet hand pressed down onto dark fabric) responds magnificently to 3D-rendering computer software (ImageJ) before and after tone-reversal (negative back to positive image). Remind you of anything? Like those supposedly “unique”  … Continue reading

Hello all you media reporters, whether mainstream (MSM), minor tributary (MTM) or obscure backwater media (OBWM). Isn’t it time you released some air from the tyres of that truth-bending Shroud of Turin juggernaut?

Pro-authenticity Shroud investigators should have considered the body image as a SIMULATED sweat imprint – before rushing to their pseudoscience (‘resurrectional incandescence’ etc).

The Turin so-called Shroud ought NOT be seen as a burial shroud. Best interpreted as a simple body-cloaking sheet of fine linen used to depict via body-contact imprinting Joseph of Arimathea’s hastily-arranged form of dignified transport from cross to tomb. (See Topics 2 and 6 especially).

2015 preamble:  Hello dear site visitor. Welcome to the site. You have chosen to check out a 2015 posting. 2015 was my breakthrough year. Up till then I’d been wedded to direct scorching of hot metal template (whether fully … Continue reading

A generic model for how the Turin Shroud could have been forged via a TWO STEP process (image capture, then separate image development).

The Lord of Lirey, Geoffroi de Charny, was NOT trying foist the final burial shroud onto gullible pilgrims. The body-imprinted fine linen was intended merely to be seen as Joseph of Arimathea’s separate pre-interment aid to discreet and dignified TRANSPORT, whether genuine or otherwise. (Ring any bells? Imprinted body image? Veil of Veronica?)

Postscript (correction: ‘prescript‘) added July 2019: You have arrived at a 2014 posting. That was the year in which this investigator finally abandoned the notion of the body image being made by direct scorch off a heated metal template … Continue reading
